Speaking of feeling good throughout the day, one of the best benefits of waking up early is that you’ll have a ton of energy thanks to getting a good amount of sleep and giving yourself plenty of time to relax before bed. Once your body is used to waking up early, it’ll start getting ready for bed at night earlier, too — meaning that you’re going to fall asleep sooner and get a better rest than if you were staying up later every night. How to Develop the Habit of Waking Up Early

1) Start by gradually adjusting your sleep schedule. If you’re currently going to bed at midnight and then trying to wake up at 6 am, that’s a big change that is going to be tough to stick to. Instead, start by going to bed just 30 minutes earlier than usual and adjusting your wake-up time by 15 minutes each week. This will make it easier for your body to adjust, meaning that you’ll be able to stick to the new sleep schedule.
2) Give yourself some time on your first day of waking up early. If you’re used to staying up late every night, waking up early on the first day is going to feel strange. A good idea would be to set the alarm 30 minutes before you usually wake up and then take some time in the morning to get ready for the day ahead of you (including eating breakfast, etc.).
